Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband have a new CD.   It’s called “Last Man Standing” and one of my favoritie songs is the last cut, “Corn Dogs”!  Expect to hear me play that sometime in October around the State Fair!!

Ryan recently went under the knife - he had his appendix out.  But that has not stopped him from performing.   He was on stage with the band 2 days after the surgery!    He has been playing shows steadily since the operation about 2 weeks ago.  He says that it has been painful, in fact it still hurts after a few weeks, but when he is on stage it is less painful.

I was about 4 years old and I’m sitting on a picnic table in my Papa and Mama Cunyus’ backyard in Stephenville, Texas.  Fond memories of this place and time.   

Brad was thrilled to get the LETTER TO HIM that the KMLE Nation signed before the show.  He said he would tack it up in his bus so he could read all the messages you wrote!  I told him that after he read it all, he could use it as a picnic table cloth at his next family reunion.  (Just kidding!)  I did ask him where he kept all the chocolate he got from Hershey’s.  He wouldn’t give me any! 

Today on the KMLE, I told you about the new Brad Paisley instrumental cd coming out before Christmas.   Special guests Vince Gill and Steve Wariner (and many more) will be playing on the cd.  It will be called “Brad Paisley’s All-Star Instrumental Album”.  It should be out just before Christmas!  Great stocking stuffer, eh?  Wonder if he thought about that?   

Today on the KMLE, I told you about a new cd coming out next Tuesday, June 24.  Patriotic Country 3 will benefit the organization Our Military Kids, assisting children of enlisted parents who have been deployed away from home or are recovering from injuries.
